What vTables is, what it costs and what it works with.
vTables is a WordPress plugin for building data tables. Import a CSV, JSON, XLS or XLSX file or start from an empty grid, edit the table right in the WordPress admin, style it, and place it on any page or post with a shortcode.
Yes. The free plugin on WordPress.org is complete on its own: import, editing, styling, export and unlimited tables. vTables Pro is an optional paid add-on with Premium and Ultimate plans.
Free covers importing, editing, styling and exporting unlimited tables.
Premium adds visitor search and sorting, column visibility and sticky columns, grouped headers, a responsive card layout, row filters, rows per page, custom CSS, and video, PDF, audio, map, rating, progress and JSON cells.
Ultimate adds Google Sheets, CSV/JSON URL and WooCommerce tables with auto-sync. Compare all features.
WordPress 6.0 or later and PHP 7.4 or later. vTables Pro also needs the free vTables plugin to be active.
Yes. Tables are placed with a shortcode, so they work with any theme and anywhere shortcodes work: the Shortcode block in the block editor, the Classic editor, and page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery and Divi.
The free plugin is translated into English, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Turkish and Chinese.
File formats, live sources, syncing and table size.
CSV, JSON, XLS and XLSX files up to 10 MB. The first row becomes the table header. Large files are uploaded in chunks and imported in the background, so you can keep working.
Yes. Click Add table → Create, choose the number of columns and rows (up to 100 × 1,000) and fill in the cells in the editor.
Yes, with the Ultimate plan. Share the sheet so that anyone with the link can view it, then paste the link in Add table → Google Sheets. For reliable imports and syncing, add a Google Sheets API key in vTables → Settings. Step-by-step guide.
Yes, with Ultimate. Tables from Google Sheets, a CSV/JSON URL or WooCommerce can sync on a schedule, from every 5 minutes to once a day, or on demand with manual sync. WooCommerce tables also update in real time when products change. Auto-sync runs on WP-Cron.
Yes, with Ultimate. Import all products or selected categories and show name, image, SKU, rating, stock, price and quantity. Customers can add products to the cart right from the table. Learn more.
Rows are stored in the database and loaded page by page, so tables with many thousands of rows stay fast. For very large tables, index up to 5 columns to speed up sorting, filtering and search. Imported files can be up to 10 MB.
Make sure each column holds one type of data. If you work in Google Sheets, select all columns, choose Format → Number → Plain text and import the file again.
Yes, on every plan. Any table can be exported as CSV, JSON or XLSX.
Shortcodes, styling, visitor tools and SEO.
Copy the table’s shortcode, for example [vtables id="1"], from the Tables screen and paste it into a Shortcode block, the Classic editor or your page builder.
Yes. Add row and column to the shortcode: [vtables id="1" row="2" column="email"] prints the email from the second row. Column names are case-insensitive and spaces become underscores.
Search and click-to-sort columns are Premium features. With Premium you can also pre-filter rows with your own rules (contains, equals, greater than and more, combined with AND/OR). These filters are set by you in the admin; visitors use search and sorting.
Yes. On every plan, wide tables scroll horizontally on small screens. With Premium you can switch to a card layout per device and pin the first or last column.
Yes. Every plan lets you set colors for the title bar, header, body, buttons, links and pagination, choose dense or flat layouts and separators, and set the table height and width. Premium adds custom CSS that is automatically scoped to a single table.
Yes. Image URLs turn into thumbnails, links become clickable and <button href="…">Label</button> becomes a button on every plan. Premium adds video, PDF, audio, Google Maps, star ratings, progress bars and JSON. See all cell formats.
No. Tables are edited in the WordPress admin. Visitors can view, search and sort them, and add products to the cart in WooCommerce tables.
No. Tables load from their own URL, which tells search engines not to index it. If some information in a table matters for SEO, mention it in the page text as well.
Yes. Tables are served from a URL that tells caching and optimization plugins not to cache or rewrite it. If a page still shows old content after an update, clear your page cache once.
Sites per license, activation, renewals and trials.
One year. During that year you get plugin updates, and you can renew to keep receiving them. Your tables keep working after a license expires.
It depends on the license you choose: 1 site, 5 sites or unlimited sites. The limit counts the sites where the license is active at the same time.
Install vTables Pro, open vTables → License in the WordPress admin, paste your key and click Activate. More details.
Yes. Click Deactivate on the License screen of the current site, then activate the same key on the new site.
Existing tables keep the features they were created with, and new tables are created with the free features. Plugin updates pause until you renew. A reminder appears in your admin 7 days before the license expires.
Yes. The 3-day trial gives you Ultimate features for one table, so you can try Google Sheets, WooCommerce and auto-sync on your own site. When the trial ends, syncing stops until you upgrade. Start a trial.

What changes when you update from vTables 0.2.x.
Yes. Your tables, their data and their shortcodes keep working. Table rows move to a new database table in the background, a few tables at a time, and the Logs screen shows the progress.
Search, sorting, sticky columns, custom CSS and rows per page are now part of vTables Pro. Your saved values are kept untouched and apply again as soon as vTables Pro is active. A one-time notice lists how many tables are affected.
Lite licenses now unlock Premium and Advanced licenses unlock Ultimate. Nothing to change on your side.
No. Updates apply in place, and license and plan data are migrated automatically on the first page load after the update.
